People always get confused with FALSE PROPHETS AND REAL PROPHETS OF GOD.
Jeremiah 23:21
New International Version I did not send these prophets,
yet they have run with their message;
I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied.
What is a Prophet?
1.a person regarded as an inspired teacher or proclaimer of the will of God.
2.one who declares publicly a message that one believes has come from God
3.a person who speaks for God or a deity, or by divine inspiration
REAL PEOPLE OF GOD HAVE A SPIRIT OF DISCERNMENT. the ability to judge well.
The quality of being able to grasp and comprehend what is obscure.
CHILDREN OF GOD WILL BEAR FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD. Galatians 5:22-23

Little children, let no one deceive you.
Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous.
Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil,

Matthew 7:15-20
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit.
A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

“Judge not, that you be not judged.
For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you.
Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye?
THESE ARE THE HYPRCRITES!!
You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye
Matthew 24:24
For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
